Taylor Lautner NOT Becoming a Personal Trainer

Taylor Lautner not becoming a personal trainer

Washington: Twilight star Taylor Lautner's representative has denied reports that the actor is studying to become a personal trainer.

Lautner, 17, had packed 30 pounds (13 kilograms) on his frame to keep his role as werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

And Star magazine had reported that the former martial arts champion was set to open up his own workout centre, and even "took courses online for 200 dollars".

But Lautner's spokesperson has insisted that the actor will not be trading Hollywood for a gym full-time.

"This is not true," Contactmusic quoted the representative as saying about the reports.

I Predict Taylor Lautner Will Create A HUGE Impact in Fitness

If I ever met Taylor Lautner in person I would shake his hand (then get his autograph for my girlfriend's daughter). I really believe that he will single-handedly make being in shape cool for Generation Y (the kids of Generation X). I believe that this impact will be felt almost immediately and it will be long lasting. My guess is that we will see more and more young people hitting the gyms and getting into fitness. I don't believe that this will just be young men. I think it will have just as big of an impact for young women.

I have been endorsing the lean and slim look for years, and Taylor has done a good job of getting fit without getting too big. As Taylor Lautner gets older hopefully he doesn’t make the mistake of gaining too much muscle. The problem with adding too much muscle is it quickly destroy the aesthetics of a slim and athletic body.

Due to Jacob Black character transforms into a wolf, the director was looking for a player who had more of an imposing appearance that Lautner.

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are Filming a Movie Together: Valentines Day

I think it is funny when actors and actresses start to date when they film a movie together. It happens more often that it should in my opinion. Here is a Disney Blog that discusses Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift dating.

Both celebrities are in the upcoming movie “Valentines Day,” where they have a kissing scene with each other. Taylor L has also said in many interviews that he thinks Taylor S is an awesome girl.

Taylor S has also said in interviews that she is Team Taylor when it comes to the Twilight series rather than Team Robert Pattinson (Team Jacob vs. Team Edward for you Twilight Fans!).

The only issue we see here is that Selena Gomez, who is, or was, great friends with Taylor S has also dated Taylor L. And from what we have heard there is a chance he even cheated on her! Either way the two are not together anymore and we’re hoping that both Taylor’s have cleared this relationship with Selena if it is really going to happen! We don’t want anyone to get hurt here!

This author came to the same conclusion as me as far as Taylor Lautner's Workout Routine was setup. Since he is young and his metabolism is high, he didn't have to worry about being lean...it was more important that he worked out consistently enough to gain mass.

Although I wasn’t able to track down a specific training regimen Taylor did say in his interview that he likes to begin his workouts with some running on the treadmill and use a lot of body weight exercises such as push-ups, squats, dips, pull-ups, and lunges.

Taylor Lautner's Workout Routine As Jacob Black in New Moon


Before I begin to tell you about the Taylor Lautner Workout, I will give you a brief biography of Taylor.

Taylor Lautner was born on February 12, 1992. At the time of the filming of Twilight : New Moon, Lautner was 17 years old. He studied martial arts from the age of 6 to the age of 13. When he was 12, he had a black belt and was declared the winner of the Junior World Championships. Lautner began his acting career in 2001, and by 2008 played Jacob Black the Native American character in Twilight.


The Director thought about having someone else play Jacob Black in the new movie, New Moon.


The Director of New Moon, Catherine Hardwicke, considered casting someone else to replace Taylor Lautner. She thought that Jacob Black should be played by someone that had more muscle and was a little more believable. This is because Jacob becomes a werewolf in New Moon, and the director wanted an actor that looked physically stronger than Taylor Lautner.

Taylor Had to Gain Muscle Quickly or Possibly Lose His Role in New Moon

Fortunately, Taylor's background in martial arts was helpful when he needed to improve his physical conditioning. If we were talking about a normal 17 year old boy that didn't haven't Taylor's martial arts background, there isn't any way he could have put on the amount of muscle he did in that small amount of time.

The Secret to Jacob Black's Six Pack Abs

Taylor Lautner's abs were not just a result of the 9 months of training leading up to the shooting of New Moon. Because he maintained an athletic lifestyle when he was younger, his natural muscle maturity and density was already that of an average twenty year old. People who compete in martial arts derive power from tightening their core. This tightening over time builds hard and defined muscles in the abs. The way to reveal the abs is dieitng down to a low body fat percentage, but the reason Taylor Lautner had an exceptional six pack was due to his martial arts experience.

Adding on all that muscle was easy for Taylor.

Taylor quickly put on 20 pounds of mass due to his age. One aspect of working out that the fitness magazines don't make you aware of is that gaining mass is easy when you begin your regimen. The muscle that Taylor has added to his body is the just the right amount of muscle that his body should have. He's not a very large person at all, and this is positive. Just like most younger males, Lautner could move towards his body's maximum efficiency very quickly. He did it in 9 months, since he had so much time he could devote to this. Usually, this process will take a year or two.

If you see any of Taylor Lautner's interviews, you will notice he is pretty vague about his workouts. Instead, he says "I exercised a bunch and ate a bunch". It doesn't take much more than this for a guy Lautner's age to put on up to 25 pounds. The hard part is getting them ripped. Taylor Lautner has his high metabolism rate working for him as he's still young. Anyone this age will have to alter their weight loss and muscle strategies as they grow older.
